Catherine will share key insights/results from the COP 17 - The 17th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) held lately in the sunny city of Durban, South Africa

Dr. Catherine Ferrier is a Lecturer in environmental policies at the University of Geneva and other institutions including the University of Applied Sciences of Western Switzerland and Pole Universitaire Léonard de Vinci (Paris), Catherine has researched and taught on climate change issues for over 10 years, particularly focusing on international climate change negotiations and on the legal and institutional frameworks of carbon trading schemes.
She also manages the Certificate and Diploma of Advanced Studies in Corporate Social Responsibility at the University of Geneva, developing awareness and capacities on CSR and sustainability issues.

Carla draws on her 15 years experience working with recognized entrepreneurs as a Communications and Philanthropy Director in banking, fine arts, publishing, real-estate and finance. Throughout her career, Carla developed specific skills in people management, effecting change and leading major projects.

Actively involved in philanthropy since her 20’s, she brings her expertise to a number of organizations through their Boards. Her growing concern for impact and effectiveness led her to become an independent consultant, blending best practices from the private and philanthropic sectors.

She holds an MSc in Change Management and Coaching from Oxford Said Business School and HEC Paris, an MA in History, and is a registered journalist.

Over the past 4 years Isaac has explored the borderlands between humanitarian aid and new media. He currently works as social media officer at the ICRC where he’s directing the organization’s endeavors in the social media realm. Isaac holds a Masters degree in Business and Economics and has previously consulted for UN organizations and the World Economic Forum.
